SHAREHOLDERS

Bank Respublika started operating in 1992 and has entered the group of Azerbaijan’s leading banks over these years.

One of the most important achievements of Bank Respublika is the equity investment in the Bank by Germany’s 2 large financial institutions: Investment Company DEG, a member of KfW banking group, and Sparkassen International Development Trust (SIDT), a member of financial group Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe.

Relevant agreements were signed between the parties on April 28, 2005 in Bank Respublika’s head office.

Pursuant to the agreements, Investment Company DEG, a member of KfW banking group, and SIDT, a member of financial group Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe, acquired a package of Bank Respublika’s shares of “25%+1 share”.

The fact that Germany’s 2 large financial institutions have become Bank Respublika’s shareholders on one hand evidences the high level of international confidence in the Bank and, on the other hand, created a whole world of new opportunities for the Bank’s further development.

As of April 1, 2010, the Bank’s charter capital amounted to AZN 30.6 mln (USD 38 mln) and total capital exceeded AZN 56.1 mln (USD 69.7 mln).

Investment Company DEG (Deutsche Investitions und Entwicklungsgesellschaft Gmbh), a member of KfW banking group, is one of Europe’s largest financial institutions.

DEG has engaged in investment activities for over 40 years and has worked with long-term projects. DEG has worked jointly with over 1300 companies and the final assessment of investments makes over 45 bil Euro. DEG’s head office is located in Cologne, Germany.

SIDT (Sparkassen International Development Trust) is a member of Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe, one of the largest and oldest financial groups of Germany and the whole world.
